My Story

For this year’s Summer Long Dance, I am choosing to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Care in Glasgow.

Over the last few years, cancer has deeply affected my family, and its impact is still very present in our lives. I have seen how much compassionate, practical and emotional support can matter when life is turned upside down.

This dance is my offering in support of all those affected by cancer, so that they may feel held, supported and less alone.

From 11–17 July 2026, I will be taking part in the Summer Long Dance, Movement Medicine®’s flagship event. It is a powerful, life-affirming ceremony where our community comes together to honour life - to dance deeply, to grieve, to let go, to give thanks, to raise funds, to support causes that matter, and to resource ourselves for the year ahead.
