My Story

In May 2026 I am challenging myself to run the Edinburgh Marathon, with my daughter Beanie , I have chosen to fundraise for Maggies center Edinburgh ,because I have seen the positive impact of their support among my family and friends and wider community. 

Its fair to say that running does not come naturally to me ,but I am doing this challenge to prove  to myself that by putting in the work  and having the  determination i can do hard  things .

Raising Money for the valuable services that maggies provide ,helps me stay motivated when the training is proving hard .

34,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year in scotland , so its never been more vital to ensure support services are funded ,any donation you can spare will go directly to helping people living with cancer in Edinburgh .

Why Maggie's? 
Maggies is for anyone affected by cancer, including family and friends. You can pop in for a cup of tea, find a peaceful spot in the garden or speak with their team of experts.

Their cancer support specialists offer a daily drop-in. You don't need an appointment or referral, you simply just come in. They offer practical and emotional support to people with any type of cancer, at any stage, free of charge.
