My Story

For the rest of this year and throughout 2026 the Kitchen Chorus Choir has chosen to fundraise for Maggie's, who are a fantastic charity, set up to support people and families living with cancer. One of our choir members lost a member of their family, Charlotte, to cancer in early 2025. The support given by Maggie's in Nottingham throughout this very difficult time both for Charlotte and the family was incredible. Maggie's offer practical and emotional support for anyone with any type of cancer, at any stage, for free. They receive no government funds and rely on funds raised by their supporters. 

They focus on the things that really make a difference, and we can't wait to support them. We will be performing a Christmas Concert in St Peter's Church, Belper on the Tuesday 16th December where all proceeds will go towards Maggie's, in addition to performing at many smaller events during the festive season to help raise funds. Our fundraising activities during 2026 will also be focused on raising money for Maggie's.
