My Story

Why Maggie's?

After my mums stage 4 cancer diagnosis, Maggies has worked closely with my family to help us manage with the emotional effects this awful illness brings. They have supported my younger brother and sister, Magnus and Bronwen, and helped them to be distracted with fun activities whilst their mummy is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

I cannot thank them enough for holding my family together in such a time of crisis and I don't know what we would've done without them.
Im so proud to announce that I will be running the 2024 London marathon for them and raising a goal of £3000+ to help them continue their amazing work and I hope you can be a part of this journey.

Maggies is a fantastic charity close to my hearts, set up to support people and families suffering with the effects of cancer, families like my own who struggle to cope with the devastating news that cancer brings to the patient and the whole family around them.

Maggies Centres offer practical and emotional support to people with any type of cancer, at any stage, for free. They receive no government funds and rely on the generosity of their supporters. They focus on the things that really make a difference, such as financial worries, housing, help with managing stress and anxiety as well as side efforts of treatment and they offer family support. They offer this through 1-1 support or group sessions.
